1 Auldran Wing: 1 Wing, comprising 1 and 2 Auldran Squadrons, delivers essential general-purpose, multi-role, and tactical fighter support in service of KOS operations.
Fielding a diverse array of combat vessels—including the F7A Mk I/II, F7C-M, F8C, Sabre, Buccaneer, Mustang, Scorpius, Aurora LN, Hammerhead, and Gladius—Auldran Wing is a highly adaptable combat element. Whether tasked with air superiority, escort, or rapid response, its squadrons stand ready to project force and secure mission success wherever required across the battlespace.

  • 1 "Tengu" Tactical Fighter Squadron.

    • Tengu Squadron delivers light to medium tactical fighter capabilities in support of KOS operational objectives.
      Specializing in agile combat platforms such as the Arrow, Sabre, Hornet series, and Gladius, Tengu pilots form the cutting edge of KOS strike power—executing precision attacks, intercepting fast-moving threats, supporting ground operations with light bombing CAS, and providing escort to heavier combat assets to ensure successful strike package delivery. Operating in close coordination with Oni Squadron, Tengu maintains a symbiotic tactical relationship that enhances operational effectiveness and mission success across the battlespace.

  • 2 "Oni" Tactical Fighter Squadron.

    • Oni Squadron provides heavy tactical fighter support for the operational needs of the KOS.
      While operating in tandem with Tengu Squadron, Oni specializes in the deployment of heavy fighters and large anti-fighter platforms—including the Ares Ion and Inferno, Constellation Andromeda, Hammerhead, Vanguard Warden, F8A/C, and Scorpius. As the blades of the KOS, Oni Squadron delivers powerful, decisive strikes against hardened targets, engages larger enemy formations, supporting ground operations with precision ground target capabilities, and excels in the suppression of fleet-scale threats and blockade forces. Together with Tengu Squadron, Oni executes missions with seamless tactical synergy, ensuring superior battlefield dominance and mission success.

Equipped with a diverse fleet including the Gladiator, Retaliator, Eclipse, and Freelancer MIS, Bravo Wing provides precision strike capabilities across a wide range of mission profiles. Its role is critical in shaping the battlespace through sustained bombardment, high-value target elimination, and force projection in support of KOS objectives.

  • 5 "Fenrir" Strategic Bomber Squadron.

    • Fenrir Squadron delivers strategic bomber capabilities in support of KOS operational objectives.
      As the fists of the KOS, Fenrir Squadron is tasked with executing crippling strikes against enemy forces, fortifications, and infrastructure. Operating light attack bombers such as the A1 Spirit, Eclipse, Gladiator, and Harbinger, 5 Squadron specializes in rapid, high-precision bombardment in support of ground operations, as well as swift and devastating aerial strikes within contested airspace. Fenrir's role is pivotal in shaping the battlespace through overwhelming firepower and surgical strike capability.

  • 6 "Draugr" Strategic Bomber Squadron.

    • Draugr Squadron provides strategic heavy bomber capabilities in support of KOS operations.
      Complementing the efforts of Fenrir Squadron, Draugr serves as the second fist of the KOS—delivering the critical extended strike capacity necessary to ensure dominance over adversaries and the protection of allied forces. Operating heavy bombers such as the A2 Hercules, Retaliator Bomber, Polaris, Perseus, and Nautilus, 6 Squadron specializes in high-impact shock-and-awe operations. Their mission profile includes overwhelming strikes against fortified enemy positions and capital-class vessels, as well as deploying minelaying systems to establish defensive screens and area denial zones. Draugr Squadron embodies the strategic reach and firepower essential to KOS supremacy.​

Operating a range of specialized vessels—including the F7C-R, F7C-S, Herald, 315P, Terrapin, Carrack, and the Endeavor Long-Range Reconnaissance and Science variant—this wing plays a vital role in mapping unknown territories, gathering actionable data, and ensuring mission success across deep space environments.

      Equipped with advanced vessels such as the Carrack, Terrapin, and the Endeavor exploration and science variants, 9 Squadron plays a vital role in extending the reach of KOS into uncharted space. Renowned for its ability to locate critical intelligence and anomalies within the vast expanse of the void, the squadron also serves as a central hub for the organization’s scientific missions and research initiatives.

Their primary objective is to gather vital intelligence while maintaining stealth and avoiding detection, thereby providing KOS command with the actionable information necessary for operational success.

    • 12 Squadron functions as the primary shipboard engineering unit and frontline service engineers of the KOS.
      Providing comprehensive engineering support to all shipborne units within the KOS, 12 Squadron ensures operational readiness and rapid maintenance across the fleet. To enhance specialization and responsiveness, the squadron deploys detachments attached temporarily to Auldran, Bravo, and Delta Wings, delivering tailored engineering services directly aligned with the specific spacecraft and operational requirements of each wing.

4 Delta Wing: 4 Wing serves as the primary logistics and transport support wing for the Knights of Sidonia (KOS) PMC.
Equipped with some of the fleet’s largest and most capable vessels, Delta Wing operates heavy transport ships—including the formidable Hull-E and Hull-D—to efficiently fulfill the strategic and operational supply requirements of the KOS. As the backbone of KOS logistics, Delta Wing ensures the seamless movement of personnel, equipment, and materiel across all theaters of operation.

  • 14 "Vulture" Transport Escort Squadron.

    • 14 Squadron provides dedicated in-house fighter support for ongoing transport and trade operations within the KOS.
      Specializing in close-proximity tactical fighter defense around large capital vessels, Vulture Squadron pilots excel at protecting vital assets during transit. True to their name, they adopt a patient and strategic approach—waiting for enemy forces to engage the “mammoths” of the fleet, only to swiftly counterattack and neutralize threats, ensuring the safe continuation of the convoy’s mission.

5 Eagle Wing: 5 Wing is equipped with a versatile fleet of industrial-class vessels—including the Cutlass Red, Endeavor Hospital Ship, Apollo Triage, Pioneer, Argo SRV, Orion, Mole, Reclaimer, and others—to deliver comprehensive industrial and emergency support.
Tasked with supporting KOS personnel and allied forces, Eagle Wing provides critical services ranging from medical aid and salvage operations to resource extraction and rapid response, ensuring operational resilience across diverse mission profiles.

  • 17 "Fae" Search and Rescue Squadron.

    • 17 Squadron serves as the primary medical unit of the KOS, delivering comprehensive medical support and emergency search and rescue operations for KOS members and allied forces. Personnel from 17 Squadron are strategically deployed across hospitals and medical outposts at KOS Headquarters and Forward Operating Bases (FOBs), ensuring a constant state of readiness. Equipped with dedicated medical vessels—including the Cutlass Red, Apollo Triage and Medivac variants, and the Hope-class Endeavor Hospital Ship—Fae Squadron stands ready to provide critical care and rapid response wherever and whenever it is needed.​

  • 18 "Orc" Salvage and Retrieval Squadron.

    • Orc Squadron delivers specialized salvage and material recovery capabilities in support of KOS operations and logistical requirements.
      Frequently deploying advanced salvage vessels such as the Aegis Reclaimer and Drake Vulture, Orc Squadron personnel conduct systematic recovery operations across battlefields and high-value derelicts. Their efforts are integral to supplying critical materials for KOS repair and manufacturing initiatives. Additionally, Orc Squadron maintains and operates ground-based infrastructure to ensure the refinement and enhancement of recovered resources, supporting the production of superior quality assets.

  • 19 "Dwarf" Industrial Operations Squadron.

    • Dwarf Squadron delivers essential mining, mineral and fuel refining, and fleet refueling capabilities in support of KOS operations and logistical requirements.
      Piloting specialized vessels, including the Orion, Prospector, Mole, Starfarer, and Raft, Dwarf Squadron personnel play a vital role in securing and supplying critical materials and fuel necessary for sustained KOS operations. Additionally, 19 Squadron oversees ground-based refining facilities to ensure the efficient production of high-quality fuel and raw materials, underpinning the KOS' operational readiness and self-sufficiency.

  • 20 "Dryad" Agriculture Squadron.

    • 20 Squadron is responsible for sustaining the KOS and its members through the cultivation of plants and livestock.
      Maintaining multiple facilities across KOS headquarters and forward operating bases, 20 Squadron conducts advanced research in food sciences to enhance and optimize agricultural processes. Utilizing assets such as the Endeavor Agriculture variant, the squadron ensures a reliable and efficient supply of nourishment, supporting the sustenance needs of KOS personnel both from terrestrial and space-based resources.

  • 21 "Gnome" Engineering, Science, and Construction Squadron

    • Gnome Squadron provides comprehensive service and repair support, research and development capabilities, as well as construction and production services to meet the operational requirements of the KOS.
      Operating specialized vessels such as the Crucible, Gnome Squadron personnel deliver maintenance and repair support across the full spectrum of the KOS fleet, from small craft to capital ships. The squadron also excels in construction and fabrication, employing platforms like the Pioneer to expand KOS infrastructure and capabilities. Further enhancing its mission scope, 21 Squadron leverages vessels such as the Endeavor to conduct advanced research and development activities. Additionally, the squadron manages multiple ground-based industrial facilities both within and beyond KOS headquarters, supporting the production of weapons, munitions, armor, vehicles, and spacecraft.

  • 1 "Akuma" Tactical Operations Regiment (TOR)

    • 1 Regiment specializes in a diverse range of operational capabilities, including ship boarding, assault, sabotage, planetary and zero-gravity warfare, humanitarian aid, casualty evacuation, and search and rescue when required.
      Additionally, the regiment serves as the primary infantry force responsible for base security across all Knights of Sidonia (KOS) installations and stations, ensuring the protection and integrity of KOS assets and personnel.

      Personnel of 2 Regiment undertake extended missions to gather critical intelligence, neutralize high-value targets, and conduct pre-assault insertions aimed at destabilizing enemy objectives by weakening defenses and critical infrastructure. Deploying in small, highly skilled teams, Kaijin operators maintain a minimal footprint while embedding deep within hostile territory to maximize operational effectiveness and strategic impact.

    • Ryuu Regiment functions as the primary air mobility unit of the Black Watch Battalion (BWB).
      Specializing in the operation of spacecraft such as the Valkyrie, Prowler, Legionnaire, and Paladin, the pilots and operatives of 3 Regiment deliver essential in-house air mobility and close air support (CAS) to meet BWB operational requirements. Additionally, members of Ryuu Regiment are trained combat arms specialists who actively participate in ground combat operations, providing versatile support across multiple mission profiles.

Elite Guard SquadronThe Elite Guard Squadron (EGS) constitutes the KOS' Special Forces, delivering specialized operations capabilities across multiple domains.
In addition to supporting ground operations with tactical firepower, strategic assault, casualty evacuation, and search and rescue missions as needed, the EGS is uniquely authorized operational autonomy in the most hazardous and high-risk environments.
Carefully selected by KOS High Command, EGS operatives represent the pinnacle of skill and professionalism, excelling both as expert pilots and combat arms specialists. Respected throughout the PMC, from officers to non-commissioned members, the EGS embodies the highest standard of excellence within the KOS.
